The Art of
Antonis Karafyllakis
Mr. Karafyllakis was trained in
an environment that encouraged and rewarded versatility and full control
over one's chosen medium rather than the idiosyncratic specialization of the
late 19th and 20th centuries.
Accordingly, he mastered most painting styles from the Byzantine up through the
first part of the 20th Century.
He also painted any and all subject matter, though he was most highly renowned
for his seascapes, portraiture,
and religious art. This collection is organized by subject matter rather than
style.
